Creatine works by hydrating you muscles and increasing your muscles ability to produce energy. It is naturally found in the body already. It can improve health and athletic performance in a number of ways, including boosting workload, reduced protein breakdown, and improved cell signaling. You can buy creatine online or in stores at any health and wellness store. You can buy it in capsules that you swallow or in powder that you dissolve in liquid. Learn more about creatine here.
Seanku Update
Since my last post about my friend that I make music with, he has released a new song.
This song is upbeat and and makes you want shake your head back and forth. It can be played while studying or at a party. The lyrics are relatable and catchy. The song comes in under 3 minutes long, so it is not too long or too short. Give this song a listen!
Carnivore Diet
The carnivore diet is just as it sounds. It is a meat only diet where a person consumes little to no fruits and vegetables. There are variations of this diet depending on the length a person is doing it for. At the most basic level, a person eats red meat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for about a month. If a person wants to continue the diet for more than a month, it is highly recommended that more than just animal meat is consumed. Organs and other tissues like cartilage should also be eaten to maintain this diet in a healthy way. I learned about this diet from a Joe Rogan podcast where he had Dr. Shawn Baker on as a guest who practices the carnivore diet. This podcast is interesting and educational.
I have tried being vegan, so now I think I will try this diet to see how it makes me feel. At first glance, I think this diet is good for people with health problems because it is essentially an elimination diet that excludes all food except meat. A person can then build back up their diet to see what agrees with them and what does not.
Yoga
I have been doing yoga for the past few weeks before I attend my morning online classes. Yoga is a great way to naturally wake up your body and stretch and strengthen muscles that you have been sleeping on the night before. Doing yoga in the morning can be as fast as 5 or 10 minutes but a good yoga session that really wakes you up is about 45 minutes. Since online classes have started, I have found myself sitting at my desk a lot more. As a consequence, my back and legs have been beginning to ache. Yoga can combat these aches and pains as help you focus more throughout the day so that more efficient and effective work can be done. If I do not have enough time to do yoga in the morning, the first thing I do when I get out of bed in the morning is called uttanasana. It is a forward fold that stretches the whole posterior chain and allows blood to rush to the brain.

There are many variations of this pose depending on a persons ability and how flexible they are. One of my favorite variations is when you hold each elbow with the opposite had and sway back and forth to bring mobility into the stretch.
I think everyone should do yoga to increase blood flow and focus their mental on the present moment instead of operating strictly by routine. Yoga is also a great stress reliever during these tough times.
This is the morning yoga routine I have been doing. It is only 15 minutes and does not need any equipment. This person also has many other videos that range in duration and purpose. Browse the collection and pick a yoga routine that best suites you.
League of Legends
League of legends (often referred to as LOL) is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that is free for pc and mac users. Five players on each team fight to try and destroy each others base. I have been playing this game for over five years, and although you play on the same map every game, I never get bored playing. One of the reasons I believe this game is so fun is because you have the ability to chose from 148 champions that each have their own unique abilities. New champions are also released every couple of months to keep the game fresh, and older champions are updated to make sure they do not go stale. The downsides of this game are that it has a learning curve and takes a while to really understand what is happening and each individual game can last up to one hour Here is a quick tutorial on getting started with League of Legends:
You can make an account and download League of Legends for free at this website.
Drake
The rap/pop icon drake has recently released a mixtape called, “Dark Lane Demo Tapes”. This project includes leaked songs, unreleased songs, and songs that have previously been released on soundlcloud. Drake had addressed the leaks by saying that the songs were throwaways from previous albums that were not going to be released on his upcoming sixth studio album that will be released summer 2020. Fans wanted this project, so Drake’s manager put together this work to give the fans what they wanted. One of my personal favorites from this project is Chicago Freestyle that has already been on soundcloud for a few months.
I am a Drake fan and I am very excited for the release of this next album.
Seanku
For the past few years, my friends and I have been making music as a hobby. By using FL studio and Logic Pro, we have learned to produce and make our own sound. One of my friends is especially good, and can play the guitar and make instrumentals as well as sing. A few of the songs I am apart of have album covers with me and my friend on them. Here is one song that I think is good:
This is how this song makes me feel.
Duolingo
Since quarantine started, one of the things I have been using my extra time for at home is trying to learn Spanish. I took Spanish in high school so I already have a very basic understanding of the language. I downloaded this app in hopes to increase my speaking and vocabulary. This app has many languages you can choose from, and you can pick whether you are new to the language or have some background knowledge. You learn through a series of subjects that increase in toughness as you progress. What makes this app so good in my opinion is that it also gives other rescources to learn besides a standard repetition method. It has stories and podcasts to listen to and a forum to ask questions about the language. I do not believe a person can become fluent on the level of a native speaker, but this application provides enough information to be able to speak and understand a native speaker in conversation. The key to being successful with this app as with anything else is to be consistent. For the past week I have been waking up and doing about a half hour of learning and I am making great progress.

Here is a screenshot of what the interface looks like. Each circle is a subject that has five levels. At level five you have completed the subject and it turns gold.
Pangolins
The pangolin is an animal that is completely covered in scales. They kind of look like an artichoke. The pangolin can live in the trees or on the ground, depending on which of the eight species of pangolin you are looking at. Four of the species live in Asia and the other four live in Africa. As of now the pangolin is the highest poached animal in the world because its meat is considered a delicatessen. If a pangolin is threatened, it will curl up into a ball and use the scales made of keratin for protection from predators. Their diet consists mainly of ants and they have a long tongue that reach into the ground or trees to dig up ant nests. A couple cool facts about the pangolin are that they can constrict their ears and nostrils to prevent ants from crawling in and they also do not have teeth. Instead, they have a very muscular stomach that is filled with spines that they use to break down their food. They also swallow rocks to help digest and break up the food. Pangolins are solitarely, bipedal (so they look very funny when they walk, almost like a t-rex), and they have huge claws. Here is a phylogenic tree showing panglins closest relatives are Carnivora (meat eating mammals):

Since pangolins and humans are both mammals, we are quite similar genetically and share over 90% of DNA. Since we share so much genetic information, it is understandable that a virus like SARS COV-2 is able to jump from one species to another.

Somewhere over the Rainbow
This song is an instant mood booster when you are feeling low. It talks of better times, “where trouble melts like lemon drops”. The late IZ has a voice of an angel and plays the ukulele (oo-koo-le-le) beautifully. The music video itself is a little lack luster with a couple of poorly done photoshop scenes, but since the video is ten years old, it is understandable. The music itself makes up for what the video lacks anyway. One thing the music video does right is showing the Hawaiian people gathered together on the beach having a good time. Since we cannot do that right now, it is nice to get a picture of the future when we are able to congregate and celebrate together.
